Welcome to our first of many Scrapbooking Blog Hops with the Scrapbooking Global Group!
You would of just hopped from the Beautiful Beth Rush. I hope you enjoy looking at what I have for you!
For Easter this year we decided that we were going to do something out of our comfort zone and drive to Sydney and stay on a friends farm.. While there we ventured into Sydney and did the tourist thing! Making sure we took plenty of family photo’s. Family means so much to us. Our family isn’t your average family! Luke had brain surgery back on the 20th January 2015 for his epilepsy. He will be having his second brain surgery hopefully this year but probably next year! Epilepsy really puts your life on hold.. Seizures are every night all night.. and then he will surprise us with the odd one here and there during the day… Over the past 5 years I have been having eye surgery on both my eyes… I have been grateful to receive 2 new corneal grafts. But my last one has really given me a lot of trouble with rejections and monthly eyeball injections..
So when we decide to take a holiday we need to plan for the best holiday, worst holiday.. everything has to be taken into account… access to hospitals, ambulances etc… Sometimes it just seems easier to stay home…
I am so Glad we did get to mark Sydney off our family bucket list! What a treat this is for my beautiful growing children. Something I never had the chance to do when I was younger!
So with my layout… I am in love with the Oh So Eclectic stamp set! I’ve also used the Dies from the Colourful Seasons stamp set and the Swirly Bird stamp set! I added some ink refill to my rubber mat and used our sponge brayer to brayer onto my card base… I did add some water… so I’m not sure if I just didn’t clean my brayer or if the water has given the two shade effect! I tried to keep it simple as I had a lot of stamping!
I thinkthe gold glitter die cuts just add that bit of bling!

Welcome to Our Aim for Alaska Blog Hop! I’m part of a training group called Aim for Alaska, Run By Kylie Bertucci. I’ve learnt so much already and Its been great to mix with top demonstrators from all over the world. Everyone is open with how they run their business and they help you get over your business struggles by letting you know that they also have faced these same fears and struggles… Even though Alaska is really probably just a dream for me, I have notice I have learned how I could potentially achieve this trip and it has been a BIG eye opener to me that it is actually very achievable and you don’t need to be at the top to achieve this trip! I still have so much to learn and I hope what I take from this group is that I can do better as a Team leader for my team.
Ok so lets get started … THEME: Inspired by Alaska
It could be the colours, the nature, the animals – whatever you want to take from Alaska.
I decided to pick Colour! BLUES many Blues! When I think of Alaska I think of blue skies and blue water and ice! I also think of Adventure! Hence my Here’s to another year full of Adventures!
I used our watercolour paper. And with the ink pads I added ink to my stampin’ Block and then spritz the paper then the ink on the block and laid it on top! With the Hot Air Balloon, I just used a sponge with random blues to add some colour to the whisper white cardstock!
If you would like to see a video on this technique please let me know and I will be happy to do a FB live video on it! Don’t forget to add some of the outside to the inside of the card!
Blog Hop Participants
Hello!! Welcome to my Second Blog Hop!! I had such a great time last blog hop so I thought I’d join in again!! I know the ESAD demonstrators have made some amazing things to share with you all. So get yourself a Drink… and enjoy the blog hop! You may have started here, or you may have just arrived from Monique Fielder. Either way, let’s keep hopping and enjoying the wonderful creations! Now Remember These sets are not available until the 4th January 2017, Unless you’d like to join my team before January, then you can pick from the New catalogue!! Let me know if you’d like to know more!
So It was really hard to pick which set I’d like to use… then what should I do with it? Anyway I settled with the Lift Me Up Stamp set along with the Up & Away Thinlits Dies.
First Card I have used Clear Emboss Powder on Whisper White Cardstock. Then I used the Stamping Sponge to sponge over the clouds with Soft Sky ink. Again I used the Clear Emboss Powder to stamp the Hot Air Balloons.. then came back with the stamping Sponge and used Melon Mambo ink to sponge over them. I then, used some Silver Metallic Thread popped under the Balloons for added Dimension. I often forget about my Banners Framelits Dies, and this set pairs up nicely with this set. I based the card on a Lovely scored Soft Sky Card base…
With the Second Card, I grabbed some Early Espresso cardstock and along with the card base, I cut a piece just a 1/4″ smaller and then used some Versa Mark ink to run around the edge, then put some Copper Emboss Powder around the edges. Stamped and embossed with Copper the Whisper White for the Balloons, and cut them out with the Big Shot and again stamped Directly the saying with the Copper Emboss Powder.
Next I decided on doing a Scrapbook layout… I was inspired to have a go after Amity Knight did a layout last Blog Hop! Here I have used again the Lift it up Stamp set for the balloon, and used the Silver Emboss powder. Also used the Up & Away Thinlits Die, for the clouds….and Our Layering Circle Framelits Dies for my circles. I just love the Carried Away Designer Series Paper that you can pick from the Sale-A-Bration Freebies… I have teamed it up with the Mint Macaroon Cardstock, Smokey Slate Cardstock, Night Of navy Cardstock, Watermelon Wonder Cardstock, and Peekaboo Peach Cardstock. And I just love our Large Letter Framelits and Letters for you Stamp set to give it more dimension. And lastly I have used the Classic Label Punch .
And Lastly why not make some Party decorations!! I have simply just weaved the Die Cut Balloons onto our White Bakers Twine… so Later on I can re-use the on a card or layout!
Here I have used Island Indigo, Daffodil Delight and Melon Mambo Cardstock…
I really hope you have enjoyed looking at my creations…. And I hope you take some inspiration from these…. Please leave a comment.. and pop on over to Tanya DeRoy‘s page next…
BLOG HOP PARTICIPANTS:
Make Sure you come back and visit my Blog on Sunday to check out my creations for our ESAD blog Hop..
Yes I have made a few cards a 3D project and a Scrapbook Layout!!
Hello!! Welcome to my first EVER Blog Hop!! I know the ESAD demonstrators have made some amazing things to share with you all. So get yourself a Drink… and enjoy the blog hop! (I’m currently at our school Christmas Fair I’ve been busy organising) You may have started here, or you may have just arrived from Jackie Noble. Either way, let’s keep hopping and enjoying the wonderful creations!
As you can see I have used product from both the catalogues.. I just adore the Moroccan Designer Series Paper #141645 found on page 173 of the main Annual 2016-2017 catalogue. I Have also Picked out the Totally Trees stamp set #142198 found on page 48 in the Holiday Catalogue. This is a magnetic little mini calendar just Perfect as a teacher’s gift or even a secret Santa gift. I’ve used Early Espresso, Very Vanilla and Dapper Denim Cardstock, along with some Silver Glimmer paper. With Inks I have used Early Espresso and Emerald Envy. I used the Layering Circles Framelits which are a perfect match, and used the Classic Label Punch. I’ve given it some dimension by using our fantastic dimensionals… And to finish it off I’ve used the Project Life Date It Stamp set #141563.
Hands up if you love post-it notes? PICK ME!!! So why not make them pretty! Here I have used again the Moroccan Designer Series Paper #141645 found on page 173 of the main Annual 2016-2017 catalogue. And again Totally Trees stamp set #142198 found on page 48 in the Holiday Catalogue. Paired with the Early Espresso, Very Vanilla and Dapper Denim cardstock.. again using the Layering Circles Framelits (Which the Stitched Shape Framelits would also work well..) I’ve used the Designer Tin of cards Stamp set #141739 for the saying ‘Just A Note’..and gave it some dimension using my favourite Dimensionals.. and added a Velcro tab that I have collected over the years.. to keep it closed. This little treasure is a great present for anyone.. including teachers. They can refill it also when it runs out.
Lastly you can’t have a present without a Card! Here I have opted to use the trees for a Christmas card. I can see this set being used in many ways you can even be creative and used them as monsters, people, etc… Here I have used the same as the other two Projects but added a saying from Star of Light stamp set #142110. I absolutely love the font in this set. I love adding some Designer Series paper inside the card too and some on the Envelope to tie it all together. And why not make a beautiful present even more pretty.
