Welcome to Kelly’s Stamping Friends Birthday Blog Hop! I’m so excited to be asked again this year to join in the fun.. Its great that Kelly loves to share her birthday with us all! I really hope that Kelly has had a beautiful day today! I have decided to do another Scrapbook layout. As this year was meant to be for me to catch up with my scrapbooking… and at this stage I think I have done 1 layout!! I have a daughter who is finishing school next year and I’d love to have her albums up to date… I tend to not print out photo’s which is so sad…. Who else is in the same vote? You might be only starting with me.. or you may have joined me from Kathryn Mangelsdorf. Please leave a comment as you hop and continue onto Peta Stephen.
With the new catalogue coming next month I decided to look at what I have in my collection and a lot of our stamps just match perfectly together! I did start out with a totally different base.. but then changed my mind at the last minute today and produced this layout in a very short time… lol
I have used a few stamp sets…. Playful Backgrounds on the background… and also Petal Palette. Beautiful Bouquet, Oh So Eclectic for the flowers, and Bouquet Bunch Framelits, Eclectic Layers thinlits, Petals & More Thinlits for the flowers and leaves… Celebrate You Thinlits for the words and a new stampset Make a Difference to make my words for ‘Make my World’
I love my children and fur baby…. They are my world and the do make it an amazing world to live in.

I know many struggle to have a craft space that is practical and tidy. I used to have a bag of blues, greens, pinks….. etc of cardstock scraps in a big container.. and what a mess it would get!
Especially when you teach classes and do up card kits! I’d like to say I’m pretty savvy with my cardstock but when you look at my pile of scraps I often wonder if I really am.. or am I just getting better as I get more organised!
When I go to get a class ready I often look at what I do have in my scraps before I actually cut a new piece of cardstock!
Yes I get paid for these classes but in reality you never get your money totally back unless you charge everyone big $$ and send scraps home with them.. I like to keep my classes affordable and have them at the set $$ figure each month so they know what to save for!
How are you keeping your cardstock scraps so you get your money’s worth? Please share in comments below! You can even leave a link for others!
About a year ago I decided to take over our filing cabinet that is connected to my scrapbook table! I bought another filing cabinet off FB and use it to fit the 2 draws of files that use to take up space in my desk and the other 2 I use for all my catalogues, envelopes etc..
but with my desk filling cabinet I have labelled and colour coded each file with my scraps.. each file either contains 1 or 3 different colours.. depending on how much scraps I have.. there are some colours I really need to use more for classes and cards! And I can see that at a quick glance!
I’m yet to do something with my very vanilla and whisper white.. I often wonder if I keep too much of it! I recently went through it all and cut out 3 tins worth of card faces for my up and coming event.. #JosiesCardsForACause2017
I’m sure we will also smash my scrap stash!
Being tidy from the start surely helps with creativity?!?
Stuck for colour ideas?
How will you use Powder Pink when you get to order it?
So many ideas going through my head.. who else is doing some scrapbooking?
Who is joining me in December Daily?
Please leave a comment if you are!
I’ve got my pages ready.. what will you put as your 1st December photo?
Hopefully I can post daily with my pictures.. depends on my day!
See you tomorrow hopefully with my completed page!
Hello!! Welcome to my first EVER Blog Hop!! I know the ESAD demonstrators have made some amazing things to share with you all. So get yourself a Drink… and enjoy the blog hop! (I’m currently at our school Christmas Fair I’ve been busy organising) You may have started here, or you may have just arrived from Jackie Noble. Either way, let’s keep hopping and enjoying the wonderful creations!
As you can see I have used product from both the catalogues.. I just adore the Moroccan Designer Series Paper #141645 found on page 173 of the main Annual 2016-2017 catalogue. I Have also Picked out the Totally Trees stamp set #142198 found on page 48 in the Holiday Catalogue. This is a magnetic little mini calendar just Perfect as a teacher’s gift or even a secret Santa gift. I’ve used Early Espresso, Very Vanilla and Dapper Denim Cardstock, along with some Silver Glimmer paper. With Inks I have used Early Espresso and Emerald Envy. I used the Layering Circles Framelits which are a perfect match, and used the Classic Label Punch. I’ve given it some dimension by using our fantastic dimensionals… And to finish it off I’ve used the Project Life Date It Stamp set #141563.
Hands up if you love post-it notes? PICK ME!!! So why not make them pretty! Here I have used again the Moroccan Designer Series Paper #141645 found on page 173 of the main Annual 2016-2017 catalogue. And again Totally Trees stamp set #142198 found on page 48 in the Holiday Catalogue. Paired with the Early Espresso, Very Vanilla and Dapper Denim cardstock.. again using the Layering Circles Framelits (Which the Stitched Shape Framelits would also work well..) I’ve used the Designer Tin of cards Stamp set #141739 for the saying ‘Just A Note’..and gave it some dimension using my favourite Dimensionals.. and added a Velcro tab that I have collected over the years.. to keep it closed. This little treasure is a great present for anyone.. including teachers. They can refill it also when it runs out.
Lastly you can’t have a present without a Card! Here I have opted to use the trees for a Christmas card. I can see this set being used in many ways you can even be creative and used them as monsters, people, etc… Here I have used the same as the other two Projects but added a saying from Star of Light stamp set #142110. I absolutely love the font in this set. I love adding some Designer Series paper inside the card too and some on the Envelope to tie it all together. And why not make a beautiful present even more pretty.
